  pavers are now widely used by highway contractors. normally, a paver completes the paving for one dump truck every three minutes and is then fed by another truck. paving operation is intermittent and paving quality is affecter. the motorized asphalt concrete transfer truck accepts the asphalt concrete from dump trucks and supplies asphalt con- crete into the paver hopper via a belt conveyor to imple- ment continuous operation of the paver and improve paving quality. the use of the transfer truck between dump trucks and paver avoids intermittent paving, increases usage of tr- ucks and ensures the exploitation of maximum capacity of the paver, ensuring high paving quality, realizing constant pav- ing speed, preventing cross seams,avoiding direct contact to the paver, improving paving flatness,as well as preven- ting high temperature segregation of paving materials by second- ary mixing function to increase effectively service life of the pavement. therefore, smooth paving, harmonious density, even air gap can be guaranteed, hence to ensure long life of the pavement.

1).main machine

2).travelling system

twin-track independent dual-pump and dual-motor and planetary reducers system. dual-pump, dual-motor closed system, automatic proportional controlled displacement. electric controlled two stages motor displacement, i.e. two speeds. in order to realize same constant speed with the paver, closed-loop centralized control by ultrasonic sensors via microprocessor is adopted for the travel system, hence to maintain constant distance to the paver. track structure is optimized through careful design of travel system parameters, ensuring excellent traction performance of the whole machine.
3).material collecting and transferring device

material collecting and transferring devices of the machine are designed into once piece steel frame structure,ensuring not only continuous transfer of materials but also improving transfer performance of the machine.the device consists of a lateral input hopper and a heat-resistant rubber belt driven via chains.

a new type of chain type belt drive is designed for the belt conveyor closely connected to the hopp er.increased smoothness is achieved via large pitch chain driving the drum belt and unsteadiness and side shift of the belt are eliminated. in addition, disadvantages of scraper belt drive are eliminat ed by the drum belt drive, e.g.easier maintenance, simpler cleaning of asphalt and considerable decr ease of friction resistance. besides,the problems of reliability of belt affected by high temperature during asphalt transfer and smoothness of conveying are solved. the technique is first initiated in the country.

4).
auxiliary hopper

secondary mixing of asphalt concrete is performed in the closed auxiliary hopper to implement effectively satisfactory blending and eliminate temperature segregation of asphalt concrete.

variable pitch screw is adopted to mix the material for harmonious mixing and good result so that asphalt material is fully blended to achieve even temperature when reaching the paver.

5).operation control device

two automatic modes: automatic travel control and automatic material control are adopted. distance and material level sensors and installed on the transfer truck. the distance sensor detects the operation distance between transfer truck and paver. the distance decreases when the paver acceler- ates and the sensor signals the transfer truck to increase speed until its speed is equal to that of the paver and vise versa. constant distance is thus maintained between transfer truck and paver. material level sensor is mounted inside the hopper. when material level inside the hopper is too high, the sensor will send a signal automatically to decelerate the conveyor speed of the transfer truck and lower the material level.
